Ferry or fly to Victoria Island

We'll be in Seattle and want to take a day trip to Victoria Island. Is it worth the money to fly to the Island or should we take our time and go by water?
Thanks!

Depends what your time is worth. Flying is almost twice the cost (if you can get an advance-purchase fare on the Clipper) but a third of the time; floatplanes are a ball and the scenery will be much better. For a day trip you'll have much more time on the island. I think flying is preferable; you may disagree.

BTW, Victoria Island is in the Canadian arctic. Vancouver Island is where Victoria's located.

I have flown and ferried and would much prefer to fly. It makes for a better day because so much more time is spent in town and the flight is great.
