Fenway to Logan after a day game
How long does it take to get from Fenway Park to BOS/Logan airport after a Sunday afternoon game? It would be the Aug 29 game that starts at 2:05. I could drive, take a taxi, or public transport whichever is quickest. Can I see three hours of baseball and still make it to BOS by 6PM for a 7PM flight?

It is going to be close - if you leave as Fenway empties, the Green Line MBTA trains are very packed - it could take quite a while to find a space on the train. Then you need to change to the Blue Line to get to the airport.
If you drive and park off of Commonwealth Avenue or Beacon Street, walk to your car, and drive, you might get stuck in traffic on Storrow Drive.
Taxi might be your best bet - they are usually better at knowing daily traffic tie-ups and alternate routes.
I think leaving by 5 PM, taking cab, might be the best idea - but game might not be over in 3 hours. In that case, traffic will not be as bad and you have greatly increased hcnace of making your flight.

Thanks, Gail. I guess I would have to leave before the game is over, in any case. I went out to Suffolk Downs once and I think the that the train passed the airport. ?? Is that the Green Line? And the Blue Line just connects the Green to Blue? I will check the MBTA info.

Take the Green line from Fenway to Government Center, then change there for the Blue line to Airport. That part alone takes 30-45mins depending on how long you have to wait for the T. But at the Blue Line Airport stop, you still have to change for a shuttle bus to your terminal. So, I'd say give it a 1hr time frame from Fenway to Logan at least. Since Aug 29 is a Sunday, there won't be major delays on the T, but that also means they run less frequent.
Your best bet would be a taxi - doubt much traffic on Sunday heading to Logan - as long as you leave before the game is over, otherwise you'll be stuck in a parking lot as everyone is trying to leave...
