Feed-back on accommodation in San Diego, first posted on May 1, 2010
I received an amazing 52 replies to my initial question, which was first posted on May 1, 2010.
I would like to thank all who took the time to answer, in particular MFNYC. I took your advice at heart and via www.vrbo.com I found a wonderful house in La Jolla. I am still amazed at what a good travel forum can accomplish. Thanks again y'all!

We stayed in a rental in La Jolla a couple of summers ago, with our 2 older teens, http://www.vrbo.com/70179.
It is a guesthouse on the owner's property. The owners were delightful, and let us use their beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. They also let us use their washer/dryer. It's walking distance to some restaurants and a couple of large grocery stores as well. it's in a residential community, but not too far from the beaches and La Jolla Village.

Are you the one that was staying in O'side?
I know the house in the village of LJ..great location and a great rate too!
Tons of excellent restaurants to walk to from El Pescador for a fish sandwich, Tapenade for happy hour, Burger lounge, La Valencia for brunch, The Cottage, Zenbu for sushi..
Report back and have fun!
