February Trip -- Best seafood?
Or for that matter, currently best places to eat?
Haven't been to Seattle for about 5 years and were thinking of Ray's Boathouse to get a waterfront view. BUT, Seattle may have opened/built new restaurants in the interim. Good food/waterfront views?
Also, is Campagne still reliably good (the cafe side)? I looked at their menu. Wonder what would happen if one ordered a Croque Monsieur at dinnertime?
Also, steaks. El Gaucho comes out at around $5 per/ more than Metropolitan Grill. Any comments/preferences there?

Yes, Cafe Campagne is still very good. We were there in early Dec. and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are a lot of very good seafood restaurants, so the hard part will be narrowing it down. I have not been to El Gaucho, but the Met is very good.

Seafood w/view: Anthony's Pier 66, Cutters, Chandlers Crabhouse, Daniels Broiler Lake Union or Leshi locations
Seafood no view: Etta's Seafood, Matts at the Market, McCormicks, McCormick & Schmidts
Yes Campagne, both the cafe and the restaurant, are still classics.
Metropolitan Grill and El Gaucho are both great choices for steaks.

Bizarre, yesterday there were 21 posts on this which I was planning to show my DH. Today, new posts, but about 10 interim ones were missing. Another weird Fodor thing! Oh well, maybe they'll show up again!

There are so many great places in seattle to eat! keep in mind - the better the view the worse the food! seriously, it never fails that views attract tourists and restaurants will cook that food the same way you'd get it in the midwest- overdone.
Go to Union for absolutely stunning meals, or Matts as others have suggested. Try Le Pichet this time for french bistro and a nice neighborhood place like Zoe or Lark. or for a really great gastro pub head to Quinn's on Capitol Hill.
Feb is a great month for oysters so be sure to get a platter at Brooklyn or Emmet Watson's.
Have a stunning cocktail at Vessel.
And go to the places with the view- for a drink and to watch the sunset!!
