Hi Julie,
Are you choosing your destination based on the resort? Or is there an area you'd like to focus on? Do you prefer on the beach, or more "in town?" Is price a consideration?
If it weren't I'd choose the Wequasset Inn in Chatham. Other very nice places in Chatham are the Chatham Bars Inn and the Bradford Inn. But I have no idea if you want to go to Chatham!
If you want to just stay "near" Cape Cod, you could actually stay in Boston, or even Newport, RI!

We usually stay at the All Seasons Motor Inn on Route 28 in South Yarmouth, but recently stayed at the Chatham Wayside Inn in Chatham and liked it a lot.
All Seasons is more reasonably priced but Chatham Wayside Inn is quite lovely and perfect for a special getaway...
Good luck.

Hello,
We stayed at the Seadar Inn in Harwichport this past summer and loved it. It is right across the street from a lovely beach. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is a "typical" Cape Cod inn, with gray shingles, blue shutters, split rail fence, blue hydrangeas and pink roses in summer. Continental Breakfast is included. We have also stayed at the Skaket Beach Motel in Orleans, not as picturesque as the Seadar Inn, but it is clean, good location and includes Continental Breakfast. My daughter stayed at the Chatham Wayside Inn one year, which she loved.

My favorite is Provincetown. Have visited many times. Great night life/shopping/people watching in town. Beaches are superb. Dunes are beautiful with fantastic bike trails. Have been to Chatham and found it a bit too subdued for my taste.
