Fare Tips (which days is it cheapest to fly)

Hi,

I am planning to fly to newark this October and wondered if anyone knew if there are days of the week or times that bump up flight prices that I should avoid?

I am coming from UK and 2 adults are travelling if that helps.

Thanks

Alison

Airfare prices are usually a little higher for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

British Airways' website show you a calendar with lowest price for each day.

Or use the month-long search on beta.itasoftware.com

JoyceL is right that it's usually higher on the weekends. About US$25-50 more, generally.

Some airlines' websites have a box to check indicating flexible travel dates.

Try www.travelocity.com for flight info. The site lets you get prices for + or- 3 days on the flight dates you choose.
