Family Style Italian Restaurant
Can anyone suggest a family-style Italian restaurant in the St. Louis Area? I'm not looking for specific location, just really good food in a comfortable setting. I will be hosting a family dinner for about 25-30 people. I like the way Buca's does their dinners, but definitely don't want to do a chain restaurant.
Thanks in advance.

Hillary, there are many Italian restaurants in the St. Louis area but if you do not have a particular location in mind the responses may not help you. Most restaurants will serve family style like Bucca's. When you meet with the restaurant to arrange for the 25-30 people, you can discuss that feature.
Now, my recommendation is Favazza'a in the "Hill" area. You really may want to post a location here on the forum for your gathering so you can get more responses.

I am not familiar with buca's. What do you like about their serv9ng syle?
Look at these -
www.cunetto.com
www.charliegittos.com
OR
Luciano's Trattoria
172 Carondelet Plaza , Clayton , MO , 63105
Rustic Italian fare including pastas, salads and wood stove pizzas is accompanied by a full bar and imported wine.
this is located across the street from the Ritz Carlton.
Another idea is Frank Papa's in Brentwood. Minutes from Clayton.
Keep us posted!!!

Hilary,
I think Sheila meant you might want to the re-title your question "Family Style Italian Restaurant in St. Louis" so more people will click on your question that have some knowledge of St. Louis. I clicked on it because I know of such restaurants but they are in the Bay Area.

I, too, had no idea what Buca's was, so I googled it. If, by family style, you mean getting large bowls of food to share at the table, the only place I can think of in St. Louis that does that is Maggiano's. They, of course, are a large chain. Across the street from the Galleria.

If you meant something else by "family style" come back and clarify. I'm sure we can come up with some ideas for you.
