Family Hotel?

WIll be in NYC Jan 1-5. Have Family of 5. Mom and Dad with 19, 16 and 13 year-olds. We hope to take in a couple of shows and a walking tour or two - and, of course eat, and then eat some more. Any suggestions for roomy hotel space and general city location? Thank you.

It would appear you require a suite hotel. you might call (800) ME-suite. They have 5 or 6 properties, all located in the midtown area. You might also check out the Beacon Hotel.

No personal experience, but I've seen Radio City suites, Doubletree Suites (Times Sq), and the Excelsior (UWS) recommended for families.

Have often needed an accommodation for 5. Try the Kimberley Suites, Rhiga Royal, Mayflower, Salisbury, Doubletree Flatotel or two rooms at a hotel might be cheaper. Personally, I just booked two rooms at the Hotel Metro for our family of 5 which will be under $350 per night during the peak week between Christmas and New Years. It is helpful to have two bathrooms with a family of 5.

Thanks for the responses. I got a studio suite at the Michelangelo (rack rate $535) for $260/night. Any suggestions about on/off Broadway shows that would interest, and be appropriate for, teens? Thanks again.
