Look, I don't care if there are 100 threads, and many people have pointed out how easy it is to avoid a subject with the word WooGo in it. I'm not moving on. Maybe you should give yourselve a break from being annoyed and just skip this thread, please!

I don't want to add to the hostility here as I don't want to jeopardize this thread. But I just don't get these complaints. If you don't like these threads, don't read them. What possible harm can it be doing you just to have them here?!
Many others have made it clear that this is of interest to them. Why on earth are you trying to prevent them from having access to it? If you decide you don't want to visit Hawaii or Alaska are you going to start railing against the throngs of people who post about those two states? Seems to me that maybe those who have nothing better to do than complain about something that's clearly of interest to others are the ones who need to get a life!

I think they are deliberate attempts to derail a thread. Like you said, Why else would someone be so vocal about what so many clearly *are* interested in.
Most people see past the smear tactics and see the real outrage of the situation.

Actually this is all quite relevant to this board and most of us are interested in the outcome. How would you like to end up in ibdkb's shoes on a family vacation booked through a website we all thought we could trust?? Fodors provides a spot for travel chat and a person complaining about a major supplier not providing what they've advertised, disclaimers aside, is a rather large concern for most of us. I can hardly believe this latest turn of events. They clearly know what's going on and are evidently just looking the other way. After all...they make money off every booking, satisfactory or not. It is a continuing saga and I would certainly like to hear the outcome.

If people want to continue following thie unfolding saga, they can check out one of ibdkb's numerous websites which he promotes on the nine current threads running on the topic.
Place it in your bookmark section and check out 100 times a day, if you want. But we don't need 9 threads on the exact same complaint.

OK, I kind of remember the 3,000 other threads on this same subject and your personal vendettas.
I don't remember if you shared what you paid for a week in that hellhole.
I am in the hotel business in NY - if it looks like a bargain, it's a dump. I would never ever book on Expedia for anything. I would much rather pay a little more & know exactly what I'm getting.
Have they repaid you &/or how much $$ are you out? Like some other posters said, forget about it & move on!

Suerich, it was silly of you to show your total ignorance of this topic by posting something that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the issue. It is not about the place being a dump, it is not about it supposedly being cheap, and it is not about the money or a refund. Why would you comment on a subject you haven't even bothered to read about?

Kelly, I for one would like to thank you for your tenacity.
Maybe, just maybe, by getting rid of WooGoo, another crook will think twice before starting an illegal and unsafe lodging scam.
For the rest of you if the posts are bothersome, don't read them. There are quite a few of us that are interested in what happens.
I'm with rb in that I certainly will not book with expedia and only use them for hotel location etc.

Do you really think Expedia checks thousands of hotels to see if any of them have broken any laws?
They're just an agent...read their terms and conditions and stop bothering us with this Woogoo nonsense! The room was too small, big deal. Probably just as good as half of the econo lodges in the USA, and probably 3 times as good as half of the European dumps that Expedia books.
BUYER BEWARE! Thanks for the warnings but enough already!

No they do not. The do not do even the most basic of checking to determine if a property is EVEN A HOTEL! Also, they will relist a property that is known to be violating laws. This is the face of increasing media and government attention.

I notice the protestors on this site have posted many, many requests for assistance with their trips. They received lots of answers from helpful Fodor travellers.
There are also hundreds of posts asking for information on Utah or Santa Fe and no one minds repeating their knowledge many times. No one says this is obsessive and move on.
Why is it different for poor ibdkb? "i" is just looking for a solution to a bad situation that any one of us could go through. i is struggling for all of us who use the big travel sites. Good for you i.

Thank you to everyone who is interested and supportive. I'm not just repeating the same story. It is a series of rather dramatic events that is unfolding, and I believe the ramafications are way beyond a bad vacation for one family.

My heavens. How does your ego fit inside a single room. I know you are convinced this is the most important travel issue in decades, but it isn't. You've made your complaints, you've started your numerous websites, you've sent your hysterical letters.
Maybe you need something new to occupy your time. How about volunteering at a homeless shelter or getting a new hobby. Or at least contain all your drama to one of the nine threads you already have started on this inane obsession.

I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned it is extremely arrogant to think that, because you're not interested in a topic, no one else should be able to read about it. Where does someone with that kind of arrogance get off calling someone else an egomaniac?

So now other posters get to decide what is and isn't pertinent information?
Here's a tip, I've never been to Vegas, I don't want to go to Vegas, I'm pretty sure I would hate Vegas so guess what?
I don't read any threads about Vegas.
It's incredibly effective in avoiding subjects I don't care about, and it's also effortless. A lot more effortless than whining acout people who continue to post about Vegas, I mean really, the nerve of some people, posting about topics that I don't have an interest in!
