Last summer we were booked for 3 nights at the Aspen Square in Aspen. We were given a ground floor suite next to the street. Since there is no air-conditioning we had to sleep witht the windows open. All night buses going by and foot traffic. We checked out the next morning!! It was brutal.

We can't remember why we didn't check out of our hotel near the Grand Place in Brussels. We slept with the light on to keep the tiny livestock at bay, did charades with the staff to get bug spray, and learned the word for bugs in French--vermin.
