I am traveling to Kauai for the holidays and need a gym to work out in. I would prefer one that has an ergometer (I row). Are there any on the island?

Where are you going to be staying? You wouldn't want a gym in Princeville if you're staying in Poipu...that would be a horrendous drive.

I got a week long membership to the Princeville Health Club and Spa and was very happy...used it every day. I can't recall, though, whether they had a row machine. You should give them a call if you are also staying in Princeville/North area. The number is on the link below:

The indoor rower finder on the Concept2 website lists one at Princeville Health Club but it's an older model (Model C) and may not be in the greatest shape.

I would also check out Kauai CrossFit as CrossFit boxes all have rowers and you can usually pay a drop-in fee to use the machines. I don't know the people there but their website lists a contact name of Jerome, phone 808-639-3268.

I thought the Princeville Club was closed for renovations?
