Emeril's Banana Cream Pie

I heard a local radio host say that Emeril Lagasse's banana cream pie was the BEST dessert he's ever had. Does anyone out there agree or disagree with this?

I don't know. What other desserts has that radio host had?

Emeril is a loud mouth shill for his pimped-up "essence" spices. He's as big a food whore as that fat slob Paul Prudhomme. Except he's more obnoxious.

Ellen, I would have to agree. It is a "special occasion desert" containing 5 egg yolks, 5 cups of heavy cream. You should try it and decide for yourself. You can get the recipe on Emerile.com
Roger, you need to medicate yourself, Emeril may not be the best chef but he sure has what it takes to make it big in a very difficult industry.

Roger-I see they have given you computer access in prison again. You really need to do something with all that pent up anger, you're going to have a heart attack or a stroke!

I was literally salivating as I read your post. I seem to require a "fix" of Emeril's banana cream pie about once every other month - certainly the best I've ever had!

Just wanted to point out that the website that Herself posted is not correct. Does anyone know where I can find this recipe to make for my girlfriend?

The correct website is www.foodtv.com
Type banana cream pie in the search window.

I've had his banana cream pie and it is out of this world. I hate to tell you this (not really) but one slice has nearly 1,500 (yes one thousand five hundred) calories! Enjoy
