Emeril's Banana Cream Pie
 

I heard a local radio host say that Emeril Lagasse's banana cream pie was the BEST dessert he's ever had. Does anyone out there agree or disagree with this?

I don't know. What other desserts has that radio host had?

Ellen, I would have to agree. It is a "special occasion desert" containing 5 egg yolks, 5 cups of heavy cream. You should try it and decide for yourself. Had the banana cream pie at one of his restaurants in Vegas (Delmonico)...was pretty incredible.

I was literally salivating as I read your post. I seem to require a "fix" of Emeril's banana cream pie about once every other month - certainly the best I've ever had!

I've had his banana cream pie and it is out of this world. I hate to tell you this (not really) but one slice has nearly 1,500 (yes one thousand five hundred) calories! Enjoy
