Eating in Balboa Park, San Diego

Eating in Balboa Park, San Diego

Can you picnic in the Starlight Bowl theater? If we ate @ the Prado, how far is that from the theater?

Eat at the Prado and Starlight Bowl is about a 5 minute walk through Balboa Park..
Make reservations..

Here's a map of the park. The Prado rest. is marked with a yellow i. The Starlight Bowl is at the bottom, #26.

I don't remember seeing people eat in the Starlight Bowl. I think people picnic before the performance begins. It's set out like a regular theater.You know that planes fly low overhead coming in to land, don't you? When they do, the acting on stage freezes until the plane passes by.

The Prado restaurant is walking distance to the Staright Bowl. here's a link to a map of the park. If you click on "handy map" it brings up bigger version that is easier to read!
