East coast driving vacation
Looking at the possibility of renting a home for a week next Summer, and I'm looking for some ideas. Live in Central NJ,and I'd like to head south, keeping the driving time down to 10 hours or less. Looking for beautiful clean beaches and some things to do once I get lobster red and can't sit on the beach! We have a two year old...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Uh...Syv, can you go a little further and tell me what ttt means?
I have been thinking OBX,but I wonder what the drive time is. Seems like whenever I try Mapquest, it makes the corner supermarket 40 turns and 15 miles away!
I'm all ears everyone!!!

Let's see. I've never been to the Outer Banks, but I followed the previous poster's advice. Did a search for certain dates and bedrooms, etc. and came up with one in Duck, NC. Then I entered "Parsippany, NJ" because I have no idea where you are in NJ and then I entered "Duck, NC". According to mapquest it's 435 miles and 8 hours 47 minutes between those two locations. Took about 3 minutes.
ttt means to the top and someone does that to bump the post back up to the top of the list (also called bumping)
