Dubuque and Baraboo (suggestions)?

Around the second week of Oct., we are going to stay overnight in Dubuque IA and then do a little bit of the Great River Road drive going north. Then we are going to cut over to Baraboo WI. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to see along this drive?

Highly recommend hiking at Devil's Lake State Park near Baraboo. Trails up on the bluffs overlook the lake and provide amazing views. Also definitely recommend House on the Rock in Spring Green--gotta experience it to believe it. Plan on at least 2 or 3 hours there.
