driving through Utah

My daughter and I are driving to Washington State from Tucson to visit a friend and want to try and drive through the prettiest scenery that we can. We have 4 days to drive there and can only drive through the sights because we are taking our dogs. We are approaching Utah through Monument Valley and then are trying to decide whether to drive up 191 through Moab or up 95 through the center of the state. Does anyone know which route would be more scenic and if there is a drive that we can take through Arches if we take the 191 route. Thanks for the help!

When is your trip? Temps will make all the difference as to whether or not you can even leave your dogs in the car for a moment.

Personally, I wouldnt bother with trying to just drive thru Arches without stopping. It would be a cruel tease.

I would look for a doggie day care in Moab and spend a day touring Arches and Canyonlands Island in the Sky district if possible. If not, even a drive through Arches will give you some of the most fantastic views anywhere.

Make plans to come back when you can come without the pups.

If you want an idea of what is there to see, I have lots of pictures at:
