Driving from East to West Coast

Your experiences and advice are most welcome for an upcoming trip in mid-April! Cape Cod to Seattle! Thank You!

How much time do you have? Will you be driving back? Do you want fast or scenic? Do you have time for site seeing like in Yellowstone?

You must be adventurous or crazy. Make sure you have cruise control.

You may consider stopping in Chicago, Mount Rushmore, and Seattle. The USAF Museum in Dayton is interesting. There is a Mercedes Benz plant in Belvidere Illinois that makes Dodge Neons but I don't know if they are open to the public.
