Five to six long, boring, miserable hours.

The flight is probably on Delta of which Atlanta is a hub so they charge an astronimical amount of money.

Unfortunately, there is no painless route from Atlanta to the SC coast.

Break it up with a stop in Madison, Georgia, a lovely ante-bellum town.

I did it a couple of weeks ago and cut over cross-country from 95 to Augusta. Still long - but less boring because I like to look for landscaping ideas. But, lots and lots of little towns and lights that route.

I get SO bored on interstates.
