This hotel is very conveniently located. It's not far from anything, although nothing is within walking distance. There is a Trolley station right across the road from the hotel entrance. You can use the Trolley to get to downtown, the Embarcadero, Old Town, Fashion Valley shopping mall, so you don't have to drive/park.

I live here and have not stayed in this hotel, but my brother has and he liked it very much.

Right next door is a "Trophy's" restaurant, a sports-themed bar and restaurant with not bad food. There ae movie theaters in the small mall the hotel is in and a good Italian restaurant, Prego.

Did you get a great rate?
It's a nice hotel and convenient to all..
It's about 10-15 minutes to the beach..Ocean Beach
It overlooks a freeway but it is a nice hotel but it usually goes for $189 which you could do better..

That's the rate I am finding when on line...189.00 that is. I need to book quickly...nonstop flights are almost non existent....

Didn't you say on your other thread that you will be visiting the Zoo, Sea World and Legoland?

This hotel is about ten minutes from the Zoo by car (including stop light time!) and about the same from Sea World. Legoland is further, maybe 25-30 minutes.

Visiting in mid-March. Would like to be near ocean and Sea World and Zoo, but not too too far away from LegoLand...30-40 mins Max. Of course the problem is cost. A lot of things are just too much.

I checked your first post about mid March when you are here and on Expedia I found way better deals than $189 on a freeway..

Hotel La Jolla is $159
Hotel La Jolla Shores $169 Oceanfront in LJ Shores
Paradise Point $179 on a man-made island in PB

All of these hotels are easy to get to for all the locations you want..
I plugged in March 12-16th (wed-sun)
on Expedia but always check direct too..

La Jolla is considered one of the prettiest places in the world..
The beaches are gorgeous but you probably won't be swimming, you might with a spring suit but stunning coastline..
