Dollar car rip off
I recently returned a car to Dollar Miami and was charged $40 to clean up a small amount of sand from the carpet. They also tried to charge me for a late return, fortunately I had my rental documents at hand, but I found a lot of people being charged extra and the arrogant supervisor was
obviously out to make extra money.

I've never heard of this either. Look at your contract and if there's no mention of any cleaning fees, then contest it with your credit card company. If it was not automatically charged to your card, then call the main office. Be sure to let them know about their trying to charge you a late fee too, it sounds like this manager is crooked. Good luck, and please let us know how it goes.

I've never had a problem with Dollar at MIA and I rent from them every year. However, I would definitely protest an extra charge for vacuuming some sand out of a car in a beach city. Unless you had a half gallon of sand sitting at each passenger seat, that's just ludicrous.
