We are thinking about staying a couple of nights in Boothbay Harbor on our way to Bar Harbor at the end of August. We are interested in taking the clambake boat out to Cabbage Island so a place to stay convenient to Pier 6 would be nice. Does anyone have a favorite place they have stayed in Boothbay Harbor?

I don't remember the piers numbers but everything is REALLY close. We stayed in the Tug Boat. I think it is best to stay in the main building which was remodeled recently. I think it was a 3 star.

Boothbay is really cute and worth about 2-3 days. I wish we would have spent more time in Acadia though. In Bar Harbor we spent more and stayed at the Bluenose.

Hare's another huge recommendation for the Tugboat Inn. Queen corner rooms are worth the extra for the magnificent views. We especially enjoy the cocktail lounge with umbrella tables on the terrace overlooking the harbor.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at the Tugboat, except maybe for breakfast.
