Do we need a car in Ft. Lauderdale?
We're going to be in Ft. Lauderdale from this Friday afternoon until Saturday afternoon. We are staying at the the Sheraton Yankee Clipper.
Given our short time, we mostly plan to spend time on the beach and to check out the Las Olas Blvd area for window shopping and dining.
Would we be better off renting a car or making use of the Water Taxi? From what I see, the Water Taxi has a stop that is right by our hotel. Will that be adequate for us to get around?
How much do taxis cost to/from the airport?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Also, there is the Sun Trolley that goes up and down A1A and over to Las Olas for .50. (It is a bus shaped like a trolley)

I agree-no car for such a short time (or even a longer time). No parking worries and it will allow you to have an extra drink at the Elbo Room. (!)
