Disneyland tickets - buy before or when we arrive?

Hi

I've already received some great advice on this forum for San Diego. I'm now planning the Anaheim part of our trip - could you please let me know if I am better off trying to buy Disneyland tickets (prob a 3 or 4 day pass) on the internet before we leave Australia or from our hotel when we arrive. If it's best to buy before we leave, are there recommended sites for doing this?

Thanks for your help. Andrea

I don't think it would be necessary to order tickets before you leave. Once you get there should be fine. One less thing to lose or forget.

If you have a Magic Kingdom card - available through many large employers - or if you belong to AAA auto club, it may benefit you to buy early. AAA has some good disney packages that you may want to look into that can include tickets, hotel- many choices, even car for a good price. With the Magic Kingdom card you can get a discount on passes at any Disney store if you have one nearby. Call first, as it has been over a year since I have done this. Don't buy your tickets the morning of your visit, it's an unnecessary line to stand in.

By all means, buy them beforehand. The last thing you want to do is wait in a long line BEFORE you even step into the park.

none is right, I have seen ticket lines in excess of 30 minutes.

Most local (Anaheim) hotels sell tickets.

I was just at Disneyland May 10-13. I got mine beforehand at www.disneyland.com. They have a special adult 3 days passes for kid's price. So if you think you will be spending 2 or 3 days at the parks than is better to buy it before going.

I am also wondering about purchasing tickets beforehand. Our trip is in 2 weeks. How long did it take for you to receive your tickets? Do I have enough time to order ahead?

Don't bother unless you get express overnight delivery-if possible.
Ours arrived 4 weeks later, couple days b4 we left for Disneyland! In the nick of time. You definetly won't make it.

If you stay at a Disney hotel you can buy them at the hotel before you get to the parks. This saves you from ordering them ahead and waiting in long lines when the park opens. You can also charge them to your room so you have just one bill to deal with.

Where is "Gail" to answer this question? The past few weeks "Gail" has hopped on every single stinking Disney question to refer them to the fanatical disboards...."Go to wdwig.info for TONS of info". Just wonder where her little advertisement is on this one.

If you stay at a Disney hotel isn't entrance to the park included? Your tickets would be given at the reception desk. Whenever we've stayed at a Disneyland hotel we have immediate acess to the park.

If you are staying at a neighbor property I would definitely get the tickets in advance. Those ticket koisks are crowded early and you want to get in as soon as you get here.
