Disney world with Teens

Just got back from a spring break week at Disney World with two teens, 18 and 15 yrs. An old favorite of ours, we were all surprised that the park was still magical, though different, after all these years ! Our favorite - the Hollywood studios, particlarly the new American Idol experience. We soon were really into it and planned our day to attend the finale. Kids also loved downtown disney, the shops, wondering around, and eating a birthday dinner at the T-Rex restaurant. Imagine celebrating a 15 yr olds bday at a dinosaur themed restaurant.. it worked ! first time we stayed off property, and it worked, as it was a condo with a kitchen. We found that were always hungry late at night and ate many meals of pasta back at the condo. Disney still has it for our family! (was extremely crowded in the magic kingdom, mostly with strollers milling about and almost unbearable at times... ughh. but older kids were patient and the rides were not bad. just the stroller mobs ! which is what you expect at magic kingdom

For my daughter's 21st birthday a few years back, I offered her a week long trip to Paris, London, or Rome. She picked Disneyworld! We had a blast and I'd go again in a heartbeat, crowds and all.

Thx a mint for your quick trip report! Disney doesn't get a lot of love on these boards sometimes, but if you accept it for what is it, it can be a magical destination too.

Wonderful to hear you had a fab trip!

Enjoy-la!

I'm typing this from my hotel room at the Yacht Club and I agree and in fact I would say that Disney never LOST it.
