I've been back and forth to burlington, vt a few times over the fall season and the colours were very pretty in that area.

I love fall colours and road trips...on top of anticipating my summer vacation I'm already looking forward to quick trips across the border next fall!!

The colors in the Champlain Valley near Burlington were stunning this year. Such vibrant reds and oranges.
Definitely late though. Much of New England had a disappointing foliage this year because of rain knocking the leaves off the tree before the colors turned.

But the Burlington area got real lucky this year.

Ya just never know.

It's still beautiful around here in the metro detroit area. Those flaming red bushes (i'm not sure what their name is) are glowing and just fantastic. We still have many tree's with leaves on them. My backyard is accorn heaven, the squirrls are having a nut/ball!

Same here Suzie, the leaves are falling but two thirds of them are not autumnn colors, they are just messy! And the squirrels add to the mess as they keep dropping walnuts and walnut shells all over the place. Here btw is the southern end of the Sacramento Valley in N CA.

December 5 in Northern California, and as I look out my windows, I am surrounded by varying shades of liquidamber, maples, etc., gently blowing in the wind after a day of rain. Shimmering jewels against the clearest blue sky, just breathtaking. I've been several times to Vermont during leafpeeping season and was enchanted...but it ain't chopped liver here!
