Dinner with two 12 year old boys
We are traveling with two 12 year old boys to NYC. After a matinee show, I was looking for a fancier restaurant to take them to eat dinner. They are mature and are interested in going to a nice restaurant in NYC. I don't want to take them to the top restaurants but looking for recommendations of a restaurant in the fancier category. (maybe with a view?) Any recommendations would be welcomed! Thanks in advance.

You haven't given us much information other than you'd like a fancy place to eat with your 12 year olds. Go to this link:
https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura..._New_York.html
Filter the choices (on the left towards the bottom) to see options in Times Sq/Theater District. You can also filter by cuisine type and budget ($, $$, $$$, & $$$$) Lots of great options

They are pretty open trying new foods. Sushi is the only thing completely out. French, Ramen, Farm to table, etc. is all good. We would want to stay $$$ and under. Thank you tailstock. I will check out trip advisor.

Here is a wide variety to choose:
Turkish Kitchen
2nd Ave Deli-Traditional Jewish deli
Sahib (excellent Indian but slap dash)
Jing Fong, Golden Unicorn or Nom Wah for dim sum
Nai for Spanish tapas
Au Za'atar-Lebanese French
Lucien-French bistro, not haute French
Regional Italian, not Italian-American
Joe's Shanghai-soup dumplings
Cafe Mogador- Moroccan
