Dinner in Jackson, WY

Hi, we will have one night for dinner in Jackson before heading into the parks and would love a suggestion; we will have a 10-year old with us, so not overly upscale would be best. We have had a suggestion of the Rendezvous (and I noticed on their website that they own several places in town, as well). Any type of food with a nice atmosphere is great. We are staying right in town at the Wort, but will have a car.

Thanks in advance,

Mary in D.C.

On our visit last year Q Roadhouse - about 15 or so minutes out of town en route to the Jackson Hole Ski Resort - was great. You can sit outside, and there's a huge yard between that and another restaurant where the kids can play while you relax. I thought the food was great. Fresh, lots of nice options beyond barbecue. Loved the trout. www.qjacksonhole.com

That restaurant next to Q Roadhouse above is the Calico. Both great places and yes that yard is prety cool. Not far from town, the settng is less hectic. And they are on Moose-Wilson Road that continues on past the ski resort into GTNP.

I'll reply to my original post--we ate at the Rendezvous--they also own Q Roadhouse and it was great; great atmosphere, great for kids, great food and the check was not outrageous. It is about a mile outside of town.

We ate at Nani's, an italian place. Very good food although a bit expensive I thought. Wine by the glass is incredibly high priced.
