Yes courtney, we had a few bad meals at Mo's. The chowder was once so burned tasting and salty that I could not eat it and we have had sandwiches that were awful.
But I think I had more good meals that I remember than bad
My last meal there was great also..chowder was just right, smoky bacon tasting and we split a hot sandwich that was perfect..we knew it was the last time we would be eating there so....
Mo's to us is not the sort of place that I would want a real dinner..it is on the level of a diner to us, so we lowered our expectations
I definitely would not order anything blackened or beyond simple diner cooking..of course, we are a bit spoiled , we lived in the Pearl and had all those wonderful restaurants to indulge in every night

The latest edition of Seatle Weekly contains a favorable review of a place named Ecola on Spruce St in CB.

Maybe we hit it on a bad day, but we were not even slightly impressed by Mo's.

Bob, that is the place I mentioned, Ecola Seafood Market. They are a seafood market as well as a restaurant. Not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but very good!
