Diamond Head at Sunset
Most seem to stress doing Diamond Head as early as possible. Wouldn't sunset be pretty to see from the top? Has anyone done that or is it just to hot a walk late afternoon?

I was just there two weeks ago (I wonder if I was there the same time as 'luckyboy') and ended up walking to the top around 1pm.
It was hot and sweaty but certainly not impossible climbing at that time of day.
Sunset is the obvious time but sadly, the gates close early.
Take water with you and don't bother with a torch, it's quite easy to see through the tunnels.

we went last november on quite an overcast day so we found a flashlight to be essential.A woman fell in one of the tunnels and badly scraped her leg, take plenty of water,as even on cooler days its thirsty work, also we saw lots of people in flip flops NOT A GOOD IDEA you need a good pair of sneakers at the very least.
