Haleakala
My husband and I will be in Maui June 2-7. We want to go to Haleakala and would like to do the sunset instead of sunrise. Has anyone else done this and can give some info on it. Thanks for any help you can give me!!

I have seen the sunset and its one of the most beautful memories - we just were there by accident and it happened to be a beautiful night - and then as it got dark you could the lights coming on in the towns around -
Guess we were lucky

Sunset time typically changes from day to day and time of year. There is probably a website somewhere that can tell you what time sunset is for a location you punch in.
Of course you'll have to know which day you plan to go to see the sunset at Haleakala.
Also, you can probably check the local newspaper when you're there for sunset times each day.
We did sunrise there, the first morning we were there...still jetlagged from East coast, so 3:00 am felt like 9:00 am headding over to us!
Sunrise was cool. I'm sure sunset is great too.
