Desperatly Seeking Dallas Plane & Car

Dallas Conference (out of my pocket for healthcare credits) from San Diego 6/9 RTN 6/17.
Checking daily Orbitz,Travelocity, American and airfarewatchdog to no avail for best plane and car rental.
Best airfare American at 364.00 & rental car is about the same. (yikes)
Anyone have any thoughts/know of patterns if Dallas airfares and rental cars ever get cheap?
Worried re: price of oil..thinking I should trade in my (3) $25.00 each ($75.00 total) coupons on United before prices get worse...

1JAR... I have access to an airline computer reservations system....The itinerary I am referring to would have to be booked either by a Travel Agent or via the fone with United.Worth the extra cost, IMHO, especially since you have some "coupons".Best of Luck!
