Denver Hotels convenient to Coors Field

I'm planning a trip to Colorado to see the Yankees play in June and am looking for information about nearby hotels. Would like to stay someplace nice but also looking for a good deal (like maybe something on Priceline) for a couple of nights. Also would appreciate ideas for restaurants and fun bars and easy side trips too. Thanks!!

Bid on a downtown hotel--it will be close enough. There aren't any nice hotels very nearby ( unless they've been built in the last year!) The Oxford would be nice.

There are no hotels of any type within a five or six block radius if that is what you are asking for. However, any of the downtown hotels would be more than convenient for Coors Field. Most of the hotels are near 16th ST. 16th is a pedestrian mall with a free shuttle bus running the lenght. The bus will take you within five blocks of the ball park. It is an urban ball park with min parking for cars.

HELP!! I still haven't booked a hotel and I'm leaving for Denver in less than a week. Most of the hotels I have been looking at are sold out so I'm not very confident i will even be able to get something on PL. Any ideas would be very appreciated!!!

What are the dates you're planning to stay downtown?

It's pretty new, so when we stayed there in April the pool wasn't done, the restaurant wasn't done, etc. But I think they said that stuff would be open in June. You could call and check.

It's pretty easy to get to LoDo from there - just walk a couple blocks up to 16th Street, and you can hop on the shuttle bus there. That'll get you within a few blocks of Coors Field, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the area.

If you need to look further than walking distance to Coors Field, I can recommend The Warwick Hotel, which is on the east side of downtown. It's a nice hotel. You wouldn't be too far from the east terminal of the downtown shuttle, so could walk there, ride the free shuttle, then walk to the Field. Just an idea if you're getting desperate for downtown hotels and don't mind walking.

Still try on PL. The Warwick is, of course, VERY nice.
A fun bar is the Cruise Room of the Oxford--art deco, great martinis.
