Deer Valley or Park City Utah

I am going to be in Salt Lake City and can ski one day this month. I am an intermiate skiier and like groom blue runs. I can't decide on Deer Valley or Park City so I am looking for suggestions. Also, the best place to rent skiis would be helpful. Thanks.

PRG4,

They are literally right next to each other and their groomed blue runs are about the same. Deer Valley does do a slightly better job of grooming.

There are SO many places to rent skis. I would just keep it simple a go into one of the shops at the resort base, but not at Deer Valley - too expensive. Rent at Precision Skis which has several locations in Park City.

Our snow is awesome, we've had over 300 inches already! Great time to come to Utah.

We prefer Deer Valley. Everything is convenient and you are more pampered there. Runs are much better groomed too. We always rent skis in Park City and ski at Deer Valley. Have fun!

Another vote for Deer Valley. They do a wonderful job of grooming. The service there is great. They don't allow snowboarders so it's often less crowded. The food on-mountain is wonderful (but expensive). And, personally, I love the tissues on the lift lines!

Generally, when we spend a week in the Park City area, we ski two days at Deer Valley, two at Park City and two at the Canyons.

But with just one day, I'd recommend Deer Valley for you; their grooming is amazing, and if the conditions aren't great, they did down 18" to find snow.
