Th, is is a real softball! Visit St. Augustine. Nice beaches, many good & reasonable restaurants, art galleries, distinctive architecture, shopping (2 outlet malls) and tons of history as America's oldest city. It's no more than 45-60 minutes north up A1A or I-95.
Oh, yes. About Daytona. If you haven't done so already, make your rental car and lodging reservations now.

You need to try Aunt Catfish's. It was always our favorite restaurant in DB. During race week everything will be crowded and you will wait for a table.
