Day Spas - New York City
My husband and I will be spending a few days in New York City (June 15 - 18). We'd like to be pampered at a day spa (massage and possible pedicure). Any suggestions? Our hotel is on East 50th Street ---- so, somewhere close would be great. Thanks.

Day spas are good for massages but not always the best place for a pedicure. There are dozens of nail salons for that. Cornelia Day Spa is very good for massages and facials on 5th & 53 st. http://nymag.com/listings/beauty/cornelia-day-resort/ (I think that would be a good place for pedicure too). There's also a very nice spa in the Peninsula Hotel that you can use without being a guest.

I would go to a regular nail salon for the mani/pedi. It's so much cheaper and they do a good job. I went to Townhouse Spa on E. 57th for my birthday and had a great hot stone massage and facial. Cornelia Day Spa has changed it's name but same location. If you are at the Benjamin Hotel they have a spa too but it's small. If you go to lifebooker.com you can find spas with major discounts on facials, massages, etc and you can book online. Totally a great site!
