Dallas Restaurant Recommendations
Hi. My husband and I will be heading to Dallas for a weekend. We're staying at the Westin Stonebriar in Frisco. We do plan on spending some time in downtown Dallas.
Can anyone recommend any great restaurants? We love a good steak or filet mignon and great wine. Thank you.

For steak in or near downtown...
Mortons which is in the West End, Bobs Chop House on Lemmon Avenue just north of downtown would be my choice.
Up near where you are staying Smith and Wollensky is just off the North Dallas Tollway. Also Chamberlain's I believe it is on Beltline Road. Recommending restaurants is so subjective...but any of those just mentioned you should have a first class experience.
Check out www.guidelive.com is a great resource for reviews and listings of local dallas restaurants.
Enjoy your stay and welcome to Big D!

Nick and Sam's near the Crescent Court Hotel would be my first pick. Do check out guidelive.com.
Why don't you try something more unique: Green Room in Deep Ellum or York Street in East Dallas. Both are chef driven with extremely high quaility. They are not "steak" restaurants, but will offer more of fine dining experience rather than the genericness that encompasses steakhouses.

oh Indie is right Bob's Chop House does have another location off the tollway. I sometimes forget about second locations. If you happen to be in downtown when you are wanting to eat then the Lemmon Avenue location would be better. I did forget to add that recommendations are recommended.
