Bashful.....When the doors open, get a seat.DO NOT stand up! If the car is full, the wait is minimal. This is from the Airport webstire:
CONNECTING BETWEEN TERMINALS INSIDE SECURITY
Skylink, DFW's airport train, signals a new era of convenience for Airport guests connecting between terminals. Skylink provides fast connections between existing Terminals A, B, C, D and E. Spacious new Skylink stations are located at the north and south ends of each terminal. Escalators to the stations are located at:
Terminal A, between A13 and A16
Terminal A, between A29 and A34
Terminal B, between B9 and B12
Terminal B, between B28 and B31
Terminal C, between C8 and C12
Terminal C, between C27 and C32
Terminal D, between D11 and D20
Terminal D, between D24 and D34
Terminal E, between E8 and E11
Terminal E, between E31 and E32
The bi-directional system keeps average ride times to 5 minutes, with a maximum ride time of 9 minutes between the farthest distances. In addition, passengers wait an average of only 2 minutes for the trains to arrive in the stations................Best of Luck!!

One hour is pushing it a bit, in my opinion. I am familar with the DFW airport, so it doesn't take me long to navigate the monster. However, if you have a roller bag, a big heavy purse, a todler, and a bathroom stop, you may have difficulties. The way I see it, there is no stress like Airport Stress. Better be safe than sorry.

You'll be fine. 1 hour is plenty of time at DFW. Take the SkyLink for terminal change.
I was at DFW 3 weeks ago. We arrived at the airport early and had 1 hour to spare. We ended up taking from Terminal A to Terminal D, got off at D, walked around for 10-15 minutes, then back on the SkyLink and returned to A. Still had plenty of time left.

If that is what you have, then move as quickly as possible and get to your gate. The skylink stations may be a little walk from your arrival or departure gate. And we have been on the train when it stopped for a good period of time. Just keep moving!

I agree you'll be fine with 1 hour. Be sure you know what gate and terminal you'll be going to and take the most direct tram stop to get there. I always get to my gate THEN go looking for the restrooms!

The SkyLink has definitely made DFW easier. Since it runs both directions the entire circuit around the airport only takes 9 minutes. Go to www.dfwairport.com and click on the link "How to connect at DFW" and you can see a map. I fly AA frequently and MUCH prefer DFW to O'Hare.
