Dallas/Addison/Galleria area Help

Hi - Needing some advice for this weekend. We are taking a friend for a girls night on the town including hotel for her 40th. Fort Worth was the plan since we know the area - but the best deals are in Dallas - way out of my comfort zone ;-) The Prava Suites across from the Galleria has a great deal on a 2-room suite - couldn't find any info on the forum - anyone know anything? They offer free shuttle to Addison Restaurant Row - we are looking for a nice (but not too crazy expensive) place for dinner and then a fun place for after - piano bar, comedy club type place? Any ideas in that area? Thanks all!

I live closer to downtown, but I've met friends at Mercy Wine Bar and its nice and very close to the hotel. Pete's Piano Bar could be fun, or check out the Improv to see if anyone good is there.

You may want to consider dinner at the Galleria as there are some great new places (Grill on the Alley, Sushi Samba, Grand Luxe Cafe). My favorite Addison restaurant is Chow Thai, and there also is a Houston's which is always reliably good food.

We like Sambuca in Addison for both food and entertainment. They have music every night, check their website for details. Food is a bit more expensive but if you get a good band it's well worth it.

Sambuca is really good! When my Dad was single in his 40's, he liked to go to a place right by Sambuca called Arthur's. They have great steaks and live music some nights. I mention his age because at some of the bars in Addison you'll find a much younger crowd, which may or may not be what you're looking for.

On tripadvisor the reviews of Prava Suites are almost all positive, so I personally would go for it.

Prava Suites used to be Hilton Suites. Great location (right across from the Galleria) and spacious rooms.
