D.C. restaurant suggestions

Celebrating a 23-year-old's birthday a couple of weekends from now. He is attending grad school at GWU.
Need a place for dinner on a Sat night prior to a 7:30 curtain at the Kennedy Center, and then
brunch or lunch on Sunday.
Nephew's favorite foods are American, Italian, French, Chinese, and burgers He enjoys also a good brunch buffet if there's one to be had.
Budget not a factor.
thanks

Strongly recommend Central Michel Richard, his bistro near the the White House. Excellent, authentic French food in a trendy California setting, and they got us a taxi to the Kennedy Center for our performance. I think they take early reservations specifically for that purpose beginning at 5.

I'll add Farmers and Fishers, if you can get a table at this late date.

I strongly recommend Tabard Inn for brunch/lunch reserve ASAP - include the donuts.

Haven't been to either Clyde's (G'town) or Old Ebbitt Grill in many years--any good for brunch?

I haven't been, but I've heard Georgia Brown's is great.

will look at Georgia Brown's, thanks

just called Tabard Inn--they can only offer a table much later than is best for my Sunday schedule.
What comes in as best 2nd choice?
