no, I've just quadruple checked...I'm looking at expedia and the list of flights for my travel dates (both trip to canada and return) are all listed there. ranging from 428 w/ American to 1200+ w/ Canada. I'm even looking at the differences in travel times and number of connections and see no reason for the discrepancy. At any rate, no one sees any reason to have concerns about flying w/ american?

for all of you trying to show your intelligence and wit, I invite you to kiss off and perhaps hop your own flight to Destination Unavailable. I am quite aware of what airports I will be using. I was merely looking to some more well travelled insight as to why a particular airline was so much less expensive than another. But I'll be sure to jot down your info so that I can contact you next time I need some help.

Scared,
I just flew this past weekend (Labor Day weekend) on American Airlines. It was from Tampa to Kansas City. It was my first flight since 9/11. I had no problems. The security was great ( I was wanded, my purse was searched, they were very careful. I was with my two kids and was separated from them briefly when they wanded my shoes. The only difference was they don't have food or magazines anymore since 9/11. The flight attendant said it was to cut costs. All of our flights were on time. The crew was pleasant and helpful. I got a great rate also ($104 roundtrip) Got it through Travelocity. Sorry for those other rude posters. They should just respond if they've flown AA lately and can answer your question. None of them have.

Actually, I wasn't trying to be witty - when I saw that you had posted that the flight was to Lake Louise I was quite concerned, because as I said there isn't an airport there and if you were planning on flying in I think that it would be a bit of a shock to find out that you still had a 2 hour drive ahead of you. I do apologize if I offended.

Hey scared/crazy: Get off your high horse. You post a topic that makes no sense with a dumb heading, and can't decide whether you're crazy or scared (I think it's more the former), and then you don't like the responses? Well, I'll tell you what. Fodor's will refund your membership fee. Feel better?
Geesh, what do you expect for nothing?

W/O dates and cities we can't give you much advice.
I am pricing DFW to YYC on Oct 24th, returning the 30th and coming up with 393.00 on AA and similar fares on all competing airlines.
All looks in order to me.
AA is in no worse shape than any other carrier at the moment.
Oh, and BTW, I have flown 16 r/t's on AA since 9/11

Hey kelsey, you bonehead, what makes you think no one at a travel forum flies?
I've flown AA to Europe, the Caribbean and multiple US flights since 9/11.
I follow the news like most thinking literate Americans, and I know how the airline business operates in this country.
AA won't cease ops even if they declare bankruptcy.
What's your point?
