courtyard mag mile

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Chicago the last week in Dec (i know - brrrr). Is the Courtyard Marriott Magnificent Mile a good location for shopping and sightseeing? We'll probably just shop and head to a couple of museums but want to be near restaurants/pubs at night for hanging out. thanks in advance

It's not a bad location - but not a really great hotel either. Are you staying there for a reason? Points?

I stayed there with points in the past as well. It's a block of Michigan so is really well situated for most activities.

We're the type the don't spend that much time in the hotel, so it was just fine for us.

When we stayed there a year ago, it was very comfortable, great location, safe, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. We go back to Chicago in December, but it was booked, otherwise, we would have stayed there again.
You can walk to many nice restaurants and the museums - a healthy walk, but that's what we like.
Enjoy!
