Coskier: More Breck help please.

I remember reading about an out of the way lunch place overlooking a lake in the Denver/Vail area but couldn't find it in a search. Can you think of it and provide directions?
We leave tomorrow. Can't wait to get to those mountains. Only 10 million things to do beforehand.
Saw your comments on biking Vail in the search. My son and I went to take one of the intermediate trails once, missed the marker and ended up on the back of the mountain. But still had a great time.

Birdie, Coskier suggested the Dillon marina to us in the summer of 2003 and it remains one of my favorite memories of our Vail trip. As I recall, just take the road from Denver to Vail, exit at Dillon and follow the signs to the marina. Have a wonderful time - wish I were going!

Birdie, The Tiki Bar is indeed at the Dillon Marina. It looks like it's still open but don't count on the weather cooperating. It's usually overcast by noon. You will be in time to see some amazing colors though. The Aspen in the Silverthorne area are just glorious.

Have a great trip (and bring a coat!)

Birdie, yes the Tiki Bar but I think it maybe closed for the season. You might try calling Pugs Ryans Steakhouse as they own the tiki bar 970) 468-2145.
Got back this morning from Summit county great weekend snow very high, forecast to turn cooler. My directions on the hike maybe a bit off, the trail head is closer to 3 miles down Tiger rd.
Had dinner at Cafe Alpine and they are offering 2 for 1 dinners, the coupon is in the free paper The Summit Daily news, reservations required, you must say your coming for 2 for 1.
It was still fairly busy at Breck but will most likely be quiet during the week. Hope the weather holds and you have a great time.
