Corning lodging

We are thinking about a visit to Corning in May to tour the Glass Museum, etc. Does anyone have any advice on the hotels/motels there? Thanks.

Are you aware that there is a Corning, CA Corning, OR and apparently some other Corning as there is not a Glass museaum in either of these? Please don't say you chose that state from the topic list. That does not appear in the header and is only good when someone wants to do a search.

Hey x were you born in another galaxy? The famous Corning Glass Museum is in Corning,NY and it's a lovely town. We were in NY last year for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival and stopped by for a tour of the town. There was a jazz/art festival going on -everyone walking around the square. There were many nice shops and restaurants. You might also enjoy visiting some of the wineries in the area- very pretty driving around the lakes. Here's Corning's website.http://www.corningny.com/

Not a whole lot of hotel choices in Corning. Try the Radisson which is at the end the long main street/shopping area in Corning and walking distance to the museum.

I don't know about B&Bs in the area - my family has a cabin nearby. The museum is fabulous. How long will you be there?

The Days Inn is another choice - simple, inexpensive, clean, friendly staff - near the incredible Wegman's Market and a few blocks from the main street. This is a huge grocery store/service deli/all around store that my family loves. Great sushi even!!!!! There are a few in PA. If you've never been to one, definately go for picnic food or late night snacks for the hotel.

A word on the Radisson - it does fill up so book quickly.

There's a Fairfield Inn nearby. It's right off Rt. 17 and is fairly new. The hotel includes breakfast in the price.
