Cool bars, great restaurants in Naples?

Patrick, I'm counting on you, here. You replied to me about Naples a few days ago. We're still staying at the Registry- we have a car. We are late 30s, but still think we're in our twenties. Looking for fun, cool hot spots... restaurants, cocktails, afternoon fun...whatever. Please help.

Hi, we live in Naples and are early 30's. On 5th Ave you will find plenty of nightlife that gets going around 10-11 pm at most restaurants. They wait until everyone is finished with dinner then move out the tables and bring in the music. Try Yabbas, Zoes & Viva. For happy hour & sunset, go to the Vanderbilt Inn, Chickee bar on the beach- great music and atmosphere-one of our favorites and shouldn't be missed - casual & right on the beach - definitely a hot spot on Fri and Sat. sunset time(about 10 min. N of Registry)! Also, The Club at the Ritz (beach one) has good music and dancing. I heard the club at the Registry has been closed for remodeling and son't think it's open , yet. Have a great time!

Wow, I didn't check in for two days (returned home to Naples today from New York) and I see your question has been thoroughly answered. Last I knew as mentioned by travelingirl, the club at The Registry was still closed, and the Ritz has been hopping -- depending mostly upon what convention type groups are in town.

Doing Fifth Avenue -- bar hopping from place to place seems to be quite the thing. Diva, Viva, Zoe's, Chops, and Yabba, are all good bets. You just wander the street and have a drink wherever the "action" looks the best. Although this evening I see the tables stacked at Viva and signs on the door -- which I didn't stop to read.

Alas, yes, Viva has been evicted and is now closed. No great loss unless you were really looking for drugs or prostitution.

GettinBye,
Its been my experience that you will find the yabbas crowd on 5th, too young for your group, local college age, try Verginas, right across the street. BTW, I give hotel guests private nature tours thru the Everglades,...Airboat ride, gators, history,..and I DRIVE, in the event you guys are HO <hung over> <grin>. Let me know

OK, so I give up Capt. Hunter. I guess you did a search for Naples and have tacked on your illegal ad to every single post you could find. I'd be hesitant to give my business to anyone who can't follow simple rules. Makes me wonder if he follows the rules of the waterways or just does what he wants. I wouldn't consider getting on a boat with him.
