Construction noise at Kiahina Plantation?

I am still trying to decide on a southshore condo for a trip for my parents. I am thinking towards Kiahuna Plantation but I am leery because I have heard about construction noise. Anybody stayed there lately and experienced the "noise?" I want somewhere quiet and peaceful. Maybe we could book condo away from construction site. Love to hear from anyone-and if not Kiahuna what other condo in the poipu area?

I am also wondering about the noise but for a different reason. They are offering a special of 99.00/night because of the construction which seems like a great deal. The website says the noise is from 8AM to 4PM and if you are out and about during the day, you should not be bothered. Any thoughts or expriences?? Thanks

The construction is the renovation of the former Waihahoe( sp?) which was destroyed by hurricane Iniki 10 years ago. They are just getting around to fixing this place up. It will be a Marriott timeshsre property. Can't tell you about the daily noise or how long it lasts but just wanted to pass along what the construction is about.
