Coney Island?

Sorry to sound uninformed, but can anyone tell me where and how to get to Coney Island? We're going to Manhattan in a couple of weeks and would like to visit, and have a Nathan's hotdog!

Last stop of the F train to Brooklyn. Check announcents on the subway as I think I saw some major work to be done soon.

There are three trains that will take you to Stillwell AVe/Coney Island. The F, Q, and W
You can get an F train in midtown on 6th Avenue and 42nd ST. THe Q and W can be taken at the Tmes SQuare station.

It's quite a long ride, by the way, almost an hour.

Nathan's is great. I work for Keyspan Energy Services and am frequently in our Coney Island office. When there I always eat at Nathan's. THis is the real thing. Do not settle for a franchise.

You can get there on the Q. Also goes to Brighton Beach in about 3 mins. Wonderful Russian food and another ethnic adventure in NYC.

Thanks all for replying so quickly! Appreciate the warning about the long train ride. I'm looking forward to that Nathan's dog!

If you plan to ride the Cyclone or other options at the various Coney Island amusement parks, don't eat your Nathan's beforehand. You'll hurl, or wish you did. Trust me.
