Condo/Hotel Help for 7 - Maui
Hi - Hope someone has ideas or advice for 7 traveling to Maui in March of 2004. Me, my DH and 2 boys (9&11) have been to Maui twice in the last 3 years. But this time we have talked my DH's brother and sister inlaw and 16 year old daughter in to going with us - (from Huston). My problem is most Condos on
Kaanapali Beach only accomodate 6 people. We stayed once at the Kaanapali Alii and once at the Sheraton. We would really like to stay right on Kaanapali beach again. Any ideas? Would two 1 bedroom be cheaper or maybe 1 hotel room and 1 condo room then could share kitchen at condo. Any help, info or advise it greatly appreciated! Mahalo!

Our unit (#223) at Kanapali Ali'i had the following configuration:
1 Masterbedroom with King bed (sleeps 2)
1 Den/with doors room with Queen bed (sleeps 2)
1 bedroom with two full beds (sleeps 2)
1 pull out sofa (I guess sleeps 2)
Call Maui Beachfront Rental to confirm.

This is for Mommar:
Thanks for the info. Sounds like just what we are looking for! The Alii is great. We would stay there again in a second. Do you have a website with pictures and or more info. about which building and/or your current rates.
(5 to 7 nights)

Actually the rental company's site has photos of the actual unit (223) we were in. I'd recommend you call them to confirm the sofa pulls out (it looked like it did, but we didn't use it) and the size of the bed in the den. We were very comfortable (6 people) but it was only two adults and 1 teen and 3 children.

Kaanapali Shores is a wonderful location. We had a 2 BR condo, with lots of room.
The area is very clean. The grounds are very pretty. We especially loved The Sea Watch Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And not just passable meals - but very, very good, and very fairly priced.
The beach is very narrow, however.
Anyway, we love it. We are returning in the near future. You can check it out on the Aston site.
