Comfort Inn Hotel-Sea World Area

We have booked a one bedroom suite at Comfort Inn & Suites Zoo/Sea World Area for our upcoming San Diego stay in August. I did quite a bit of online research before making this choice. I felt pretty confident at first, but after looking at a couple of the older posts here, I notice that some view the location of this particular CI as not very good. Unsafe even? Please advise ASAP, since we can still cancel if need be. However, we would need a comparable (cost, amenities, and cleanliness) alternative. Our budget range is $140-$160 USD/Night. We also require a place with a decent breakfast included and close to Sea World--We are a family of 5.
Positive feedback about the CI we have reserved is certainly appreciated, because it is obviously nice not to have to cancel. Of course I want honest replies, however.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Just wanted to add that we tend to gravitate towards Holiday Inns and Comfort Inns because they are generally affordable, clean, and have the amenities we require (we particularly like having complimentary breakfast).
I just noticed an ad for a Comfort Inn on 1955 San Diego Ave. (old town). Providing the price fits our range, does anyone know if this property and/or location of it is any better than the Sea World Area property we have already reserved? Or, should we just leave well enough alone and stick with our original reservation? I'm feeling really lost because we have never been to San Diego. I'd really hate to be stuck in a shady part of town or a run down hotel that only looks nice online.

Neither is in a shady part of town. I would just stay with the one you've already booked.

Thanks Barbara, I needed to hear that. However, if anyone else wants to add their two cents worth, please feel free.

hotel circle is just a bunch of hotels/motels on each side of a freeway. nothing fancy or nice about it. but it is economical family accommodations. just use it as a place to sleep and be out exploring the rest of the time. several family restaurants in the area. ask for a room as far from the freeway as possible to keep the noise down.
