This Comfort Inn is at the corner of Van Ness and Lombard, two very busy streets.

I drove past it last weekend and wondered about the shoddy paint job on the exterior of the building. If the interior is anything like the exterior, then, no, this is not a very good hotel.

For the same price range, you could do better at the Cow Hollow Suites or the Coventry Motor Inn, both also (sort of) on Van Ness.

We stayed here last June. It was not bad at all, as we had a great view of the GG Bridge. Continental breakfast was included. The rooms facing Van Ness were a bit noisy in the morning but otherwise it was fine.

I think easytraveler meant Cow Hollow Motor Inn. The Cow Hollow Suites start at a little over $200 a night, but are worth it as they are deluxe full scale apartments.

earl: You're absolutely right!

Getting tired, been researching something all day and coming here to Fodors for breaks.

And I meant that they are on Lombard, not Van Ness!
